Bologna loses Svanberg
New adventure for Scandinavian gem
In the upcoming season, Sinisa Mihajlovic will have to do without one of the most used players in the last championship, namely midfielder Mattias Svanberg, who had moved to Bologna in the summer of 2018 from Malmo.
Swooping in on the Swedish talent was German club Wolfsburg, which reportedly finalized the deal with the Rossoblù for a total sum of 9 million euros.
Confirming the negotiation is the CEO of the Bologna club himself, Fenucci, who told the press during the Emilian club’s retreat in Pinzolo, “Svanberg is leaving to take medical examinations in Germany with Wolfsburg. It was a complicated operation given the expiration to 2023 of his contract, we tried to resist defending the value of the player. It was a good transaction for both clubs.”
