Jannik Sinner’s tournament ends immediately as he pairs with Alex de Minaur
Jannik Sinner and Alex De Minaur were defeated in the first round of the doubles tournament at the Atp 500 in Barcelona. The South Tyrolean tennis player, paired with the Australian, did not stand a chance against Edouard Roger-Vasselin of France and Santiago Gonzalez of Mexico.
The pair, significantly more experienced in doubles, won in two sets with a score of 6-4, 7-6.
It was an hour-and-a-half workout for Sinner, who will make his singles debut in the Catalan tournament against Argentina’s Diego Schwartzman.The Argentine clearly beat China’s Yibin Wu in the first round.
