Chelsea was eliminated by Real Madrid in the Champions League
Late in the league and now out of the Champions League as well. Chelsea’s season is, by now, disastrous. New coach Lampard has collected his fourth defeat in as many matches since returning to the Blues’ bench.
Drogba, a former Chelsea star, was quite clear in judging “his” Chelsea: “I knew the club for its class but today I don’t see any. They should go back to the principles and values of the past. I no longer recognize my club,” his words reported by The Sun. There is insistent talk in England of a real revolution in the summer with a total overhaul of the current squad.
