Superbike, Alvaro Bautista makes strong start in Assen in FP1

The MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship 2023 returns to excitement at the TT Circuit Assen with FP1 of the Pirelli Round of Holland. Assen is a place associated with many memorable moments and no doubt we will see some great duels this weekend as well. At the end of the first session the fastest was Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati).

Bautista takes the lead with ten minutes to go and in the closing stages he stretches against Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK). Excellent third place for the best Independent rider who answers to the name of Remy Gardner (GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team): behind him here is the official Yamaha of Andrea Locatelli (Pata Yamaha Prometeon WorldSBK) ahead of Scott Redding (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team). In the first five positions then we find four Houses.
