Romelu Lukaku, appeal dismissed: no Juventus

Romelu Lukaku disqualified

The Court of Sports Appeals has rejected Inter Milan’s appeal over the disqualification of Romelu Lukaku, who was sent off in the Coppa Italia semi-final first leg against Juventus and therefore now sure to have to miss the return match.

“In the hearing set for April 21, 2023, held by videoconference, following complaint number 237/CSA/2022-2023, brought by the company F.C. Internazionale Milano S.p.A. and the player Lukaku Bolingoli Romelu on 16.04.2023 against the penalty of disqualification for 1 match day imposed on the footballer Lukaku Bolingoli Romelu, in relation to the Coppa Italia Frecciarossa Juventus/International match of 04.04.2023; having heard the Advocate Angelo Capellini and Dr. Giuseppe Marotta for the complainants; having heard the Referee,” the FIGC Court of Appeal therefore rejected the appeal.”
