F1, Alonso candid: “Excited to see the Sprint Race again”

At the press conference presenting the Formula 1 Baku GP, Aston Martin driver Fernando Alonso had his say on the novelty of the Sprint Shootout. In addition, he wanted to send a clear message to his team.

“This break has helped me recharge my batteries after a high-adrenaline start to the season. The Baku track is a real challenge for us drivers, because the several tight sections at low speed and the straights at very high speed increase the chances of making a mistake,” the Spanish driver began.

“I am excited to see the Sprint Race again. I think as in the past we will have fun races, especially now with two qualifying sessions and two races. We arrive at this event knowing the car better, but it will be crucial to start from the level of Australia and continue the development process to keep improving and remain competitive,” added Fernando Alonso.
