F1, Mattia Binotto cold with Alpine
Former Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto has reportedly said no to a proposal from Alpine, which contacted him in recent days for the team principal role after a disappointing start to the World Championship. It would be a return to Formula 1 for the former Maranello executive.
Otmar Szafnauer’s position is reportedly at risk and the French team has contacted a number of people including the former Ferrari team boss. Binotto, according to formu1a.uno reports, would not accept the offer because he was skeptical of the transalpine team’s current critical issues.
