Giro d’Italia: Rubio triumphs at Crans Montana, always in pink Thomas
Colombia’s Einer Rubio won the 13th stage of the Giro d’Italia, with two mountain grand prix and finish in Switzerland, at Crans Montana: a stage modified for unfavorable weather conditions.
The Movistar rider beat breakaway companions Thibaut Pinot and Jefferson Cepeda, burning them in the final sprint.
Nothing changes in the general classification: the big boys all finish together, Geraint Thomas remains pink jersey, marked closely by Primoz Roglic and Joao Almeida. With them also Damiano Caruso.
