NBA: Toronto gets serious about Sergio Scariolo

The current Virtus Bologna coach has a guaranteed contract until June 2024
Virtus Bologna is busy in the LBA playoffs (today’s game 2 with Derthona) but there is still talk about Scariolo’s future. The V Nere coach has a contract with the Bologna club until June 2024, yet there is a possibility that, at the end of the season, he will return to the NBA, this time as head coach.
Toronto certainly seems to be serious about Scariolo (he was an assistant with the Raptors in the NBA title season in 2019). Scariolo would be among the finalists to take the bench. The franchise plans to make its final decision before next June 22, the day of the NBA Draft. In the meantime, there is a game to be played with Derthona to enter the LBA Scudetto final.
