MotoGP: Marco Bezzecchi’s expectations for Sachsenring
These are the words of Ducati MotoGP rider of the Mooney VR46 Racing teams Marco Bezzecchi on the eve of the three-day German Grand Prix at the Sachsenring circuit.
“I really like this track, it is small for MotoGP, in the past I managed to get on the podium in Moto3 and Moto2. It will be complicated to stay close to the fastest riders like Bagnaia and Marquez, however, I will try to keep up with the best to stay close to them. The Mugello race was frustrating, beating Pecco (Bagnaia, ed.) was difficult, however, I thought I could stay close to the frontrunners, fight for the top 5, instead already from the beginning of the race I had a bad feeling with the front. It took me a while to get over it, also psychologically. But now we can focus on the German GP.”
Bezzecchi is currently second in the MotoGP standings 21 points behind Pecco Bagnaia, the Rimini native won his first Grand Prix in the premier class this year, in Argentina and France.
