Sampdoria’s budget approved
The Sampdoria shareholders’ meeting approved the budget to Dec. 31, 2022, a key step in giving the Sampdoria club a future, and the current board of directors was confirmed on an interim basis for the time being.
The meeting, as Sportmediaset’s website reports, started more than an hour late, was held at the Corte Lambruschini headquarters, and did not go deserted as initially feared. Connected remotely was in fact Fabio Toso, the new sole director of Sport Spettacolo Holding, the company that still controls Sampdoria pending closure with Andrea Radrizzani and Matteo Manfredi.
This year Sampdoria, after eleven consecutive Serie A championships, was relegated to Serie B finishing in last place despite a change of coach after eight games when Dejan Stankovic took over from Marco Giampaolo.
