Ettore Messina, host of Sport club, returned to talk about the scudetto won by his Olimpia Milano and beyond. “It was a troubled season, and winning against a great opponent like Virtus makes us very happy. The third star for Olimpia and its fans is something very important.”
Euroleague chapter: “We were unsatisfactory in the first part finishing well, rebuilding and coming close to the playoffs after being last in the standings for a long time. But we are not happy.”
Closing remark on Belinelli: “He did great things, and it’s very sad that he of all people scored zero points in the last one. We defended him well but he came in exhausted. That’s the way sports are, but I’m in admiration of what he did.”
