F1, Gp Silverstone: Max Verstappen also takes FP2, problems for Charles Leclerc
Max Verstappen also takes FP2, good Carlos Sainz
After dominating the first free practice session of the Silverstone GP, Max Verstappen repeated himself in FP2 as well. The two-time world champion set the fastest time of 1:28.078 ahead of Carlos Sainz’s Ferrari and Alexander Albon’s Williams by 22 and 218 thousandths, respectively.
In fourth place was the other Red Bull driver Sergio Perez. Rounding out the Top 10 are Logan Sargeant (Williams), Lance Stroll (Aston Martin), Nico Hulkenberg (Haas), Pierre Gasly (Alpine), Oscar Piastri (McLaren) and Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin).
A day to forget, however, for Charles Leclerc, who after finishing fifth in FP1 more than half a second behind Verstappen, was forced to forfeit the second session due to electrical problems on his SF-23.
