Inter starts with a trio while waiting for Alvaro Morata
Inter starts preseason with success, talks continue for Morata
It started with a 3-0 victory against Lugano in Inter’s 2023/24 season. A test held behind closed doors at the Pinetina, as the Swiss’s pitch was not available. By Fabbian, Sensi and Sebastiano Esposito the goals of the match, which saw Lautaro Martinez wearing the captain’s armband. Absent were new signings Davide Frattesi and Marcus Thuram, among others.
In the meantime, the market continues to be in the news, with Alvaro Morata: the Nerazzurri would still be in pole position to secure the former Juventus man’s performance, but Roma does not want to give up and AC Milan, looking for an alternative ‘9’ to Giroud, remains at the window.
Morata’s real problem seems to be the Spaniard’s decidedly high salary. There is talk, specifically, of just over 10 million euros per season. It is very likely then, if Morata really wants to return to Italy, that he will have to make a major sacrifice.
At those figures, none of the three interested Italian teams could accommodate him. The next few days, however, will be decisive to see how the Morata telenovela will end. The yellow continues but the solution to the case should not be very far away.
While waiting for Morata, Inter prepares the tour in Japan: the first opponent on Japanese soil will be Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr, scheduled for July 27 in Osaka. This will be followed by the prestige test against Paris Saint-Germain on August 1 in Tokyo.
