Surprise turn for Mick Schumacher
Surprise turn for Mick Schumacher
Mick Schumacher wants to revive his career after bidding farewell to Haas in 2022. The son d'art, current third driver of the Mercedes team, will probably stay out of Formula 1 next season as well, since he does not appear in any of the circus teams’ new line-ups.
According to rumors coming out of Germany, Schumacher could make a surprise restart in the World Endurance Championship: from 2024 there will also be Alpine, which will field the A424_β hypercar, and the German driver would be one of the leading candidates to get behind the wheel and could also participate in the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Schumi Jr has reportedly been contacted by the head of Alpine’s F1 team, Bruno Famin, for this very reason, and news could be coming soon.
Schumacher would thus follow in the footsteps of his father Michael, who in the past raced in endurance races with the Mercedes team.
