Italy-Colombia 3-0

Fourth consecutive victory for Italy in the Olympic Qualifying Tournament being held in Lodz. At the Atlat Arena, the Azzurri, in the opening match of the fourth day of Pool C, beat Colombia with a dry 3-0 (25-15; 25-20; 25-20) to fly to the top of their group awaiting the matches of the USA and Poland.

Despite a few changes to rest those who have played the most so far, CT Davide Mazzanti’s national team fielded intensity and concreteness to beat a Colombia that tried to put the Azzurri in trouble, led offensively by the Villani-Lubian-Nwakalor trio.

Tomorrow will be the last break day before the final rush that will see Italy engaged against USA (Sept. 22 at 8:45 p.m.), Germany (Sept. 23 at 8:45 p.m.) and Poland (Sept. 24 at 8:45 p.m.) in the three challenges that will decide qualification for Paris 24.
