Florentin scrambles Cagliari at the Franchi

Fiorentina dominated the match against Cagliari, held at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in Florence and valid for the seventh day of Serie A, with a final result of 3-0.

The first half saw a series of crucial events that defined the pace of the match. After only two minutes, Cagliari’s Pantelis Hatzidiakos committed a foul, conceding a free kick to Fiorentina: on the spot kick è resulted in the hosts’ goal. Blunder of the guest defense, Gonzalez freed brings in advantage the team of Italiano.

A few minutes later, Cagliari’s Nahitan Nández attempted a difficult shot that è was blocked. Fiorentina put the game on ice in the 21st° minute, when Cagliari’s Alberto Dossena scored in spite of himself an own goal in an attempt to anticipate Beltran, putting Fiorentina ahead 2-0.

In the second half, Cagliari tried to make up lost ground with a series of substitutions. Eldor Shomurodov è was replaced by Gaetano Oristanio and Alessandro Deiola è was taken off for Matteo Prati. Despite these moves, Fiorentina maintained control of the match, with Christian Kouamé and Gino Infantino coming on for Josip Brekalo and Giacomo Bonaventura respectively.

Towards the end of the match, Cagliari tried to create opportunities, but Fiorentina’s defense è remained solid and in the dying minutes è came the tris: Nzola on a counterattack drank Wieteska and beat Radunovic. 

The match è ended with a convincing 3-0 win for Fiorentina, now fifth on 14 points tied with Juventus and Napoli. Cagliari remains last on 2 points.
