The news of the operation Polonara will have to undergo had been made official on Monday afternoon: "Virtus Pallacanestro Bologna S.p.A. announces that, on Tuesday, Oct. 10, Achille Polonara will undergo surgery for the removal of a testicular neoplasm found recently".

"At the end of the’operation will be announced the recovery time" concluded the note published by the Bologna club.
