UAE Team Emirates will continue its sequence of races on Spanish soil by participating in the Vuelta Burgos, scheduled for August 2-6.

The short stage race traditionally represents a finish ahead of the upcoming Vuelta España, which will start from the Netherlands on August 19.

Portugal’s talented Joao Almeida will be entrusted with hopes for the general classification, while Fernando Gaviria will try to place a few blows in the sprint. Italian Matteo Trentin will also be in the lineup.

The Emirati formation will welcome in Vuelta Burgos stagiaire Oliver Knight, a 21-year-old complete rider who will live with UAE Team Emirates this second part of the season. The Milton Keynes native currently rides for French formation A.V.C Aix en Provence.

UAE Team Emirates will be directed by coaches Directors Manuele Mori (Ita) and Aart Vierhouten (Ned), with supervision by team manager Joxean Matxin (Spa).
