Igor Tudor to Napoli: deal getting closer
It seems all done for the bench change.
Igor Tudor to replace Rudi Garcia at Napoli seems a done deal. On Monday afternoon, the Croatian coach met Aurelio De Laurentiis at his Filmauro offices in Rome. And the two reportedly found the basis for an agreement.
According to reports in the 'Gazzetta dello Sport', Tudor has reportedly accepted the conditions De Laurentiis presented to him. The former Marseille coach, known in Italy for having also led Udinese and Verona (as well as for his long militancy at Juventus as a player), is expected to accept the team only until the end of the current season. Napoli will also be able to take advantage of a unilateral option, which will allow the club the eventual renewal.
These are the conditions placed on Tudor, who would have preferred a deal until 2025 but would have to accept anyway. According to the 'Rosea, the final decision could come as early as Tuesday and then formalize everything. Napoli’s intention would be to have him already available to direct the team’s training scheduled for next Wednesday.
