Marc Marquez's excellent debut on the Ducati of the Gresini team on the MotoGP test day in Valencia impressed not only his rivals on the track, but also Ben Spies, former rider of the premier class and Superbike, in which he è graduated world champion in 2009 with Yamaha.
The Memphis centaur posted a tweet in which he è indulged in a rather stark prediction about the Spanish champion for next season: "For some reason I think next year the points gap between 1° and 2° will be the biggest ever. They just gave Marc a Ducati and moreù than 40 races".
Marc Marquez, by the way, already holds the record for winning the title with the largest points gap over the runner-up. It happened in 2019 when the Spaniard won the World Championship, taking 420 points in the standings, a beauty of 151 points ahead of Andrea Dovizioso, second at 269.
