Federica Brignone immediately scores. The Italian skier won the first Giant Slalom in Tremblant, Canada, in the race valid for the Women’s Alpine Skiing World Cup.
The champion from Valle d’Aosta, after finishing in the lead in the first run, è confirmed herself in the second, winning the 22nd victory in her World Cup career (reached Goggia), the ninth in the Giant. Federica è set herself 21 hundredths ahead of Petra Vlhova and 29 hundredths ahead of Mikaela Shiffrin.
The other Azzurre defended themselves: Marta Bassino finished sixth, while Sofia Goggia finished the race in seventh.
Also in the Top 10 of the women’s giant slalom were Sara Hector, fourth, and Lara Gut-Behrami, fifth. Points also went to Roberta Melesi, who finished in 18th place.
