Daniele De Rossi has released his first words as Roma coach. "I am convinced that we have neither me nor the team need parachutes – he stressed to the club’s official channels -. I believe we have a strong team, with very important players. It happens to all important teams to have a moment of difficulty; it è happened, it will happen; and it could happen to other teams, we will have to be good at taking advantage of it. I think there are all the margins to rise again, we don’t need parachutes".
"I haven't coached in a long time,” he later admitted. They say it's like riding a bike, even though I've been doing it for a few months, it's been easy. We didn't prepare it as we would have liked to, because I was busy accomplishing all the bureaucratic as well as technical things. &Everything was very fast, but it was a shooting practice, there was nothing to invent, tomorrow we will start doing something more interesting".
On returning to Trigoria: " it was perhaps the biggest shock. Sometimes I have a hard time realizing that these are the same places as long ago, è everything transformed, obviously for the better. I saw a video about Fiorentina’s sports center and they told me it è wonderful and I thought how nice it can be to have a sports center like that; and going in like that; I saw it è an incredible thing. I am almost envious of the times I have lived here, being inside this place in this condition I realize that maybe we è missed it. Here there'è more of what we need".
Finally he left a message for the Giallorossi fans: "To them I would say a thousand things. When they were outside Roma I was never one to put too much of a beak, I did not want to disturb or get in the way, now I can afford to speak not only as a legend, but as a member of Roma. More than telling them that we have and I need them, I cannot do".
