Saudi Pro League, Al-Hilal stops Neymar but does not fire him
In this second part of the season, Neymar’s place will be taken by; Renan Lodi
His adventure in Saudi Arabia, sportingly speaking, è so far, a disaster. Neymar is recovering from the rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus in his left knee suffered last October. According to several insiders, a long road and one that will also prevent him from competing in the Copa America in June with the jersey of his beloved Brazil.
Meanwhile, Neymar è has also been "parked" by Al-Hilal. As explained by Mundodeportivo, the Saudi club has decided not to include his name in the roster that will participate in the second part of the 2023/24 Saudi Pro League. His place will be taken by Renan Lodi, bought from Olympique Marseille for a sum close to $23 million. Neymar, however, has not è been fired.
As soon as he becomes available again, the 31-year-old Brazilian will resume his place in the team. Al-Hilal's move stems from the necessities of freeing up a slot to be able to insert Renan Lodi (there were no more slots available, mandatory "cut" Neymar). As for the Brazilian, he is recovering from his physical problem not in Saudi Arabia but at home in Brazil.
