In the pouring rain in Phoenix, Matteo Berrettini doesn’t stop. Despite weather adversity, the Roman tennis player successfully finished his second-round match at the "Arizona Tennis Classic".
Berrettini, 27, currently ranked No. 154 in the ATP rankings, gained access to the tournament through a wild card. After a six-and-a-half-month absence due to a right ankle injury suffered at the US Open, he made his return to the court and beat Frenchman Gaston, number 85 ATP. In his second-round match, Berrettini defeated Arthur Cazaux, ranked number 77 and eighth seed, in three hard-fought sets with a final score of 3-6, 6-1, 7-5.
