Serena Williams knocked out
Serena Williams’ farewell tour to the United States continues.
The former world number one, who has already announced that she will retire after the Us Open, was narrowly defeated in Cincinnati by Emma Raducanu and Serena Williams.
The 19-year-old Briton, No. 10 in the world and on the scoreboard, had an easy time with Serena, defeated 6-4, 6-0.
For the younger of the Williams sisters, it was only the fourth match of the season, after clinching her first win of 2022 last week at the National Bank Open in Toronto, beating Nuria Parrizas Diaz in two sets before bowing out to Olympic champion Belinda Bencic.
