Giro d'Italia, Tim Merlier takes third stage
Tim Merlier (Soudal Quick-Step) won the third stage of Giro d'Italia 107, the 166-kilometer Novara-Fossano. The Belgian mocked in a sprint the Italian Jonathan Milan (Lidl-Trek), who has to settle for second place, and the Eritrean Biniam Girmay (Intermarché – Wanty), who closes the podium in third position.
Slovenian Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates) remains in Pink Jersey of overall leader with 46 seconds gap over British Geraint Thomas (Ineos Grenadiers) and 47" over Colombian Daniel Felipe Martinez (Bora – Hansgrohe).
