Valentino Rossi can half smile
Qualifying valid for the Moto2 Spielberg Grand Prix gave a half-smile to the Mooney VR46 Racing Team and Valentino Rossi: Celestino Vietti took seventh, Niccolò Antonelli only 25th.
“I am quite happy, we took a good step forward compared to this morning and I have good feelings for tomorrow. The goal is to be as consistent as possible like today in the last phase of QP when we were able to express ourselves at our best. Two, three drivers are very fast, but we can work to try to fight for the podium,” Vietti said.
Optimistic Antonelli: “I tried to push from the beginning and keep a good pace throughout the session. Unfortunately we start a little behind for the race, a pity the crash, but the feeling is not bad and we can catch up on the group. Since yesterday we have made some steps forward and the gap on a chronometric level is smaller.”
These instead are the words of Brivio: “A decent qualifying: we made a step from yesterday and also compared to FP3. Celestino’s race pace is not bad at all, but everything will depend on the start, which will be crucial. A pity for Niccolò, the crash in his best attempt jeopardized his grid position.”
