Jorge Lorenzo spoke to DAZN Spain about Marc Marquez’s overtaking of Pecco Bagnaia at the chicane ‘Chemin aux Boeufs’, turns 9 and 10 of the ‘Bugatti’ de la Sarthe circuit where è the MotoGp weekend.

“Congratulations, your naturalness and instincts are inimitable. After difficult years results like that have a really special taste. Marquez is having fun and entertaining the public, you can see it from how happy è when he gets off the bike and how he celebrates in Parc Fermé. È the MotoGP veteran, he can è be himself and be natural".

“È an overtaking that was the result of at least 6-7 crashes at that point – explained Marquez – I always found myself very well in that braking towards the left and è it was the stretch that in general allowed me to go back up to the leading pair. I saw that Bagnaia didn’t attack Martin and so I attacked. I knew I had margin if I was long because I could have braked a little bit more on the change of direction to the right, but it è went well. For sure the rear brake was nailed”, a detail the one pointed out by Marquez not insignificant given that in Jerez in testing he tried the ‘thumb’ on the left handlebar grip used by Martin and Bagnaia preferring to stay with the lever one to be operated with the right foot".
