Gennaro Gattuso, no return to Serie A: his future decided
New adventure abroad for Gennaro Gattuso: the Calabrian coach, according to Saudi media reports and in particular Arab News, has reportedly reached an agreement with Al Taawoun, the team currently fourth in the Saudi Pro League with two days left in the season. No return to Serie A then for Ringhio, who in recent weeks had also been approached by Torino for the post-Juric post.
The former Marseille coach's agents and the club’s emissaries are finalizing the negotiations right now: it is a very rich multi-year contract. In the Saudi club Gattuso would find again an old acquaintance of Serie A, the Gambian Musa Barrow.
The former Milan midfielder thus returns to the bench after his last unfortunate experiences at Valencia and Marseille, where he was exonerated. Gattuso has also coached Sion, Palermo, OFI Crete, Pista, Milan and Napoli in his career.
His coaching palmarés include a Coppa Italia won in 2020 just with the Azzurri.
