Virtus Bologna captain Marco Belinelli spoke ahead of the start of the upcoming season through the official channels of the Bologna club.
The Black VUs released a video on Twitter in which the former San Antonio Spurs and Chicago Bulls player among others, invites fans to attend the gathering of the bianconero roster on Wednesday, Aug. 24.
“Hi guys, how are you doing? We are super charged, I expect you today in the Virtus gym. Take care,” said the guard who played overseas for 13 seasons.
Last season, Virtus Bologna saw the confirmation of the Scudetto it won in 2021 slip away only in the playoff final, lost 4-2 to Olimpia Milano. The highlight of the Felsinians’ year, however, came on May 11, with the conquest of the Eurocup, won in the final against the Turkish Bursaspor. This success gave Scariolo’s men a pass for the 2022-23 Euroleague season, a competition in which the Bolognese have not participated for 14 years.
