Michele Lamaro spoke at a press conference in Apia, capital of the Samoa archipelago where on Friday, July 5 at 06 Italian time, Italrugby will face the hosts in the first of three Summer Tour matches, the first in the Southern Hemisphere after the long stop for the Covid-19 pandemic. 

"It’s been a long season. We have taken some satisfaction – began the Azzurri captain – but now we have three important engagements ahead of us. The key will be to do the simple things the right way: è our goal. Inside in our game it will be key to be precise in detail".

"All of us have an important goal – added the Benetton Rugby flanker -. This tour represents a new step for our growth as a team and confirm what has been good è so far. Personally, I feel very charged up and look forward to wearing this jersey again, which gives me the opportunity to experience rallies and emotions together with my teammates".

On opponents: "Samoa has a great weapon that è to play inside the defense. We will have to try to put as much pressure on them as possible. The details – and doing the simple things in the best way – will make the difference".
