Charles Leclerc è presented himself to the microphones after the disappointing Silverstone qualifying, closed in 11th place after being eliminated in Q2. "The feeling was never there… Friday; è è was a difficult day. Yesterday we did a comparison of two different setups and decided to use the old one that I hadn't tried. So I lost a whole day's work and when we are all soì close this becomes a big problem".
"We don't have to però look for excuses, the truthè è that we have for a while now lost step. The new configuration here has not given us improvement but probably the jumping we have been experiencing è a problem specific to this track. Maybe on other tracks it could be better".
" It certainly wasn’t an easy qualifying, even considering that our main objective this weekend è was for the most part to understand the reasons why we are struggling in the last few races. We did the right thing in differentiating the configurations of the two cars becauseé so we were able to collect a lot of data that will come in handy in the long run".
"Probably because ofò, having done this kind of exercise we were not able to optimize the work ahead of this specific weekend and I think it showed in qualifying today. We need to continue working to define in which technical direction to go in order to make up ground as soon as possible", concluded the Monegasque.
