The winter sports world è in mourning over the sudden death of Piermario Calcamuggi, one of the most successful technicians in international skiing. Calcamuggi è died following a sudden deterioration of his health condition after a routine heart surgery, which was perfectly successful.
He was 74 years old. After the surgery he had been able to speak with his wife Ita and children, Matteo and Elisa, promising a meeting at their home in Champoluc shortly. Then a worsening of the clinical picture that led to his death.
