Marcell Jacobs: Rana Reider sends clear message ahead of Paris 2024
Marcell Jacobs: Rana Reider sets goal ahead of Paris 2024
During a lengthy interview with the microphones of "Repubblica" Marcell Jacobs’ coach Rana Reider, among other topics, spoke clearly about his client’s goals for the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
"I don’t count, the athletes count. Their goal è to run fast, jump far and win medals. I have to limit myself to putting them in the right conditions to compete, succeed and be stars in Paris. We are trying to conquer 0.01 at every step. We are hunting for the smallest details so that we can run faster, because when an athlete goes from one Olympics to another, changes have to be made. With Jacobs we have been working together for only one season, and I have to continue to support him, while he has to understand that I train himò hard" began the coach of the blue runner.
"C'è who wants to see a number, but I was interested in working on a running pattern. Batteries, semifinals and finals in two days: like in Paris. Marcell was coming from an intensive week of training and running in 10.0 with very heavy legs and no rest. I can guarantee that in Paris we will be fast. He è a good, nice guy, really kind and good family man, and his character will help him even when he is done with the track. Now he just has to think about running fast at the Olympics, as heè has all the right cards to repeat the gold" continued the American coach.
"For Marcell to stay alone has worked in the past, but I have never had just one athlete; our group supports each other. Everyone is training hard together and pushing to get on the podium" concluded Rana Reider.
