Gaetano Castrovilli starts again with Lazio
Gaetano Castrovilli to Lazio
Lazio has made official, in a brief note circulated through its channels, the signing of Gaetano Castrovilli, former of Bari, Cremonese and Fiorentina, who was released last July 1°. "S.S. Lazio – the statement reads – announces that Gaetano Castrovilli è a new biancoceleste" player.
Castrovilli è the fifth arrival at Lazio, following the permanent arrivals of Tijjani Noslin from Hellas Verona and Loum Tchaouna from Salernitana and those on loan with mandatory redemption of Nuno Tavares from English side Arsenal and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru from Turkish club Hatayspor.
Brought up in the youth ranks of Bari, a club that had picked him up from Minervino Murge (his hometown club) when he was very young, Castrovilli moved to Fiorentina in February 2017, after playing with the violets already in the 2016 Viareggio Tournament. Before joining the viola’s first team squad, he played two seasons on loan at Cremonese.
His official debut with the Gigliati came in the 2019/20 season, with level performances that brought him to national prominence. A series of physical problems has però limited Castrovilli in the following seasons: the adventure at Lazio è a real gamble for both, since both the player and the biancoceleste club want to relaunch themselves after an opaque year.
