Federvolley president Guseppe Manfredi spoke about the future of coach Julio Velasco after his splendid triumph at the Paris 2024 Olympics: "Now we will all take a week’s vacation by disconnecting our phones. The future? It will only depend on what he" wants to do. The women’s team won the first gold in the history of Italian volleyball at the Games.

"Heè still under contract, the bond we have goes all the way to the World Cup next year. I hope he stays with us, but it will depend solely on him. Let&#39s talk about it, it will be up to Julio to figure out if he wants to continue. I, I repeat, hope sì", are his words to reporters in Linate.

The volleyball number one then spoke about men&#39s coach De Giorgi: "No problem with him. We have not signed yet, but there's a verbal agreement to renew for the next four years with the formula of 2 plus; 2 to get to the Olympics in Los Angeles.
