Jannik Sinner still suffers
Jannik Sinner spoke at a press conference ahead of the Cincinnati Masters 1000: "I feel pretty good. Obviously I went almost a week without training before and then after playing for two, three days in a row, a little bit more than usual, that could have had a potential impact on my hip. But I am not afraid. I feel good about my hip and I am looking forward to getting back on the court here".
"This year I felt that since I was playing well, including in Paris, at Roland Garros, and knowing that the Olympics were held there and that I can play well on that court or well enough, I could fight for a medal" added the world number one.
"But sometimes you have to accept it,” continued the South Tyrolean.
Obviously it also enters your mind after that you missed this opportunity because you wanted to prepare for it. But it’s all part of sports, and I also have to be happy with what I have, not always looking at the negative aspects".
"I think my season is going in a very, very positive way, and we continue to build on that" Sinner closed.
