The words of Simone Inzaghi

On the day of Sven-Gran Eriksson’s death, the words of condolence of Simone Inzaghi, who as a Lazio player in the 1999/2000 season won the Scudetto with the Swedish coach on the bench, could not be missed.

"For me it represents a great sorrow the passing of Sven-Goran Eriksson – the words of the current Inter coach on the Nerazzurri official website -. I was very young, just arrived in Rome and he helped me a lot, è he was fundamental in my path of growth as a footballer and as a man".

"I admired his calmness, his education, the great respect he had for everyone,” he added. For me è he was a source of inspiration. I am also here because of him and his teachings. Sven è was a great man, an example of life for everyone".

"These last months faced with great strength and a unique will to live were a further demonstration of his greatness: he taught us how to live while he was dying. Happy journey Sven and thank you for everything, I will always carry you with me", concluded Inzaghi.
