Red Bull driver Max Verstappen broke the gearbox: he will with each penalty penalized
Complicated start of the weekend at Zandvoort for the host and World Championship leader Max Verstappen. The world champion, 10 minutes after the start of the first free practice session of the Dutch Grand Prix, found himself disqualified in Turn 3 by his Red Bull.
For him a gearbox problem: a penalty of ten grid positions is likely if he introduces the fifth gearbox. The Red Bull team, until a few minutes before the start of the session, had already noticed the problem and changed the main shaft locking insert and gear pairs, in vain.
