Next starring in the Wuhan WTA tournament, where she will make her debut in the second round against China’s Yuan Yue after taking advantage of a bye that allowed her to skip the first, Jasmine Paolini is clear about the individual goal she has for the conclusion of this season, qualification to the WTA Finals.
"Getting to the Finals è a huge goal for any player – said in a press conference the Versilia athlete, recent doubles champion, with Sara Errani, in Beijing – I will do everything, between Wuhan and Ningbo, to get the points needed to qualify: if I succeed it would be a great achievement for me".
Speaking of the future, Paolini confirms that she would like to continue her adventure in doubles with Sara Errani, with whom, in addition to her successes on the circuit, she also won the gold medal in Paris 2024: "I would like to continue next year in doubles, too, because I believe it is an excellent experience to hone qualities that are useful in singles.
Turning 28 last Jan. 4, Jasmine Paolini è literally exploded in 2024, winning, among others, the Dubai WTA 1000 in singles and and as many as four tournaments in doubles with Sara Errani (Linz, Rome, Olympic Games and Beijing), as well as reaching the finals in singles at Roland Garros and Wimbledon and in doubles again on the clay of Paris, in the second slam of the season.
