F1 Ferrari, Leclerc worried: “Impossible to do better”
Leclerc now fears Mercedes: ‘They were flying…’
Charles Leclerc commented on his third place in the Dutch Grand Prix. What worries the Ferrari’s Monegasque most is not so much the now unreachable Verstappen, but Mercedes: “Honestly I think it was difficult to do better. We had bad luck with the Virtual Safety Car but I don’t know if it would have changed anything.”
“Max was too fast and the Mercedes were flying on hard tires, while we struggled to find the feeling. Overall we have to accept this third place. Battle with Lewis? He was suffering, we had more grip and were able to overtake him. They, however, were able to keep the tires well in the last laps, so it was not easy. But we were able to make that overtake stick.”
