Marco Bezzecchi not entirely disappointed with Sprint Race result
Despite the tenth place finish in the Sprint Race MotoGp Sepang does not allow him to add rainbow points to his ranking, Marco Bezzecchi does not lose heart and still tries to find the silver lining ahead of the Sunday race that will goà to close the weekend in Malaysia, the penultimate of the World Championship waiting for the FIM to officially confirm on which circuit will be run on instead of Valencia in the last weekend of the season.
"It's a weekend where I'm struggling,” explained 'Bez' on the sidelines of Saturday's short race, “but even today in the race I had fun. I made a few overtakes, a good tussle with Jack Miller and Pedro Acosta, then the tire at the end started to get really too hot and I had to give up a little bit’".
"Realistically tomorrow we can take another step – then says the rider of the team founded by Valentino Rossi -, the approach to the long race è different and the pace is not è bad. On the dry lap I am always very on the limit and with the new tires è very hard always. I made a great start: this è always positive".
Third in the final MotoGp 2023 World Championship standings, Marco Bezzecchi è failed this year to replicate the results, and after the Malaysia Sprint Race è eleventh with 137 points in the standings. His best result in 2024 è was third place in the Spanish GP in Jerez, while in the Sprints he did not è go beyond fourth place in Indonesia.
