ATP Finals draw: Jannik Sinner avoids Carlos Alcaraz
The group draws for the Nitto ATP Finals, the last tournament on the ATP circuit to be held Nov. 10 to Nov. 17 at the Inalpi Arena in the Piedmont capital, were held in Turin. Jannik Sinner è has been included in the group dubbed "Ilie Nastase", in honor of the former Romanian tennis player.
With him will be Russian Daniil Medvedev, U.S. Taylor Fritz, and Australia's Alex De Minaur. The Azure has thus avoided arch-rival Carlos Alcaraz, who has been placed in the group named after another former tennis player, Australia's John Newcombe, along with world number two Alexander Zverev, Norway's Casper Ruud and Russia's Andrey Rublev.
The first place finisher in the group will face the second from the other group in the semifinals.
The ATP Finals have a prize pool of 14 million euros: whoever wins the tournament, if he does it undefeated, will take home a sum of more than 5 million.
