Aprilia, Aleix Espargaró wants to close big
Aleix Espargaró returns to his home track for what will be the’last race before retirement. In May, just in Montmeló, Espargaró had announced his intention to close his career at the end of the season with an’exciting press conference. On that occasion, he had signed the pole position, the circuit record and victory in the sprint.
Determined to end this season and his career in MotoGP in the best possible way, Espargaró is aiming for a major result to honor his public and the Noale House with which he has raced, to date, 142 races, winning 3 Grand Prix, 2 sprints, taking 15 podiums and 5 pole positions.
"Barcelona è my home track, I like it very much and it suits both me and the’Aprilia well – he says -. We have had some beautiful results here: we have won three of the last four races and we also have the track record. These are all signs that tell us we can fight to stay in front".
"I would really like to finish the last race with Aprilia competitively, aiming for the podium,” he added.
I will try to be as focused as possible from the first round and we will do our best to bring home a good result".
