Trentino volleyball in Romania, Fabio Soli fuels the mystery

The 2025 CEV Cup officially begins for Trentino Volleyball. In fact, on Wednesday, November 13, the first leg of the round of 16 of the second most important continental club competition will be played; after winning its fourth Champions League last May in Antalya, Trentino Itas will inaugurate its participation in the second European trophy by facing the Romanian C.S. Arcada Galati at home. Kickoff scheduled for 5 p.m. Italian time: live on Radio Dolomiti.

Just over six months after winning the fourth Champions League in Antalya, the Gialloblù lineup returns to play a match in the European arena, making its debut in the competition won in the last previous participation (2019 edition). Coming back from seven wins in the first nine matches of the season played, Sbertoli and his teammates face the second continental event determined to get a positive result already on this first occasion, so that they can face the return match on November 20 among their friends with more serenity.

"It’ an important competition that sees many clubs of great tradition at the start, involving many different volleyball schools and that in fact always offers decisive matches, taking into account that each double confrontation puts at stake the qualification to the next round – explains Trentino Volleyball coach Fabio Soli -. We want to have our say in this tournament as well and we will give our best to make sure that the path will be long and full of satisfaction".

"Transfers like the one we are supporting these days in Galati are anything but easy, not only from the strictly competitive point of view but also from the logistical one. That is whyé I hope that the team will manage to have an excellent approach to the’appointment to be able to immediately put on the desired tracks the’meeting against a formation that we know little but that will surely pull every ball" adds the helmsman of the Trentino.
