Some doubts yet to be resolved for the blue CT

The national team is preparing to face Belgium and France, two matches valid for Group 2 of the Nations League which, at the moment, sees Italy in first place with 10 points from four matches, +1 on France and +6 on Belgium. The first challenge è scheduled for Thursday evening in Brussels, the second will be played in Milan, in San Siro (Sunday).

Azzurri coach Spalletti is reasoning about who to field in the two matches. The feeling è that, as far as strikers are concerned, both will be accommodated. Retegui, Serie A’s top scorer, is expected to be a starter against Belgium while Kean, the league’s vice-leading scorer, will have a starting jersey against France.

There should be no doubt about the form. Space for the 3-5-1-1 that so many good results have given lately. Against Belgium, there will be; Donnarumma between the posts. Three-man defense with Di Lorenzo, Buongiorno and Bastoni. Cambiaso and Dimarco on the flanks while, in midfield Barella and Tonali will certainly be there while, the last midfielder will be one between Rovella and Locatelli.

There are also some doubts about the trequartista to support Atalanta’s forward Retegui. In fact, three options are available to Spalletti. namely Maldini, Frattesi and Raspadori. At the moment, Frattesi seems the most logical solution, also taking into account the great physicality of the Belgian lineup.
