ATP Finals, Jannik Sinner: “Don’t know if he will playò before’Australian Open”
Another round, another run, another dominance by Jannik Sinner. Another dominant performance by the’South Tyrolean, who annihilated Casper Ruud in just over an hour and returned to the finals in Turin. “Jannik had a perfect season, losing only six matches all year and all against top10” – the Norwegian told the conference.
Asked how to improve on such a year, however, Sinner did not give a great answer: “è it was a very very good season. I won a lot of tournaments, played a lot of finals and went to the bottom of a lot of tournaments. È a question no one can answer right now, I do know, however, that preparation for next year will be crucial”.
Speaking of preparation, Jannik hinted that he will again follow the same schedule as this year, not playing any tournaments before the Australian Open. “We will do a similar thing, I have to see what I play or what I don’t play before the Australian Open. I probably won’t play any tournament again to stretch out the preparation” says the world No. 1.
Then the’South Tyrolean adds: “Winning all the time is not becoming normal, absolutely. I would tell you a lie if I thought it was normal. Every day è unpredictable and you never know what canò happen. There will still be many days where things will go wrong, where I will not feel good and where it will be difficult to find solutions”, Sinner concluded.
