Slovan Bratislava-Milan: Paulo Fonseca knows he cannot make a mistake
It's already a decisive race for Milan
.
Milan will open the fourth day of the new Champions League away game against Slovan Bratislava. The Rossoneri are called to redeem the recent setbacks in the league against Cagliari and Juventus and to give continuity to the two consecutive victories obtained in Europe against Club Bruges and Real Madrid, so as to keep alive the hopes of direct qualification to the next stage of the competition.
It's also a key match for the future of Paulo Fonseca, who è is obliged to turn things around in terms of results after a decidedly up-and-down start to the season, as not coming out of Slovakia with the three points could further undermine the Portuguese coach's position.
The former Lille coach is going for a front-drive Milan, with Noah Okafor, Christian Pulisic and Samuel Chukwueze accompanying center forward Tammy Abraham. Also changing again is the central pair, which will be composed of Thiaw and Tomori, while on the right flank an opportunity for Davide Calabria.
On the importance of the match with Slovan Bratislava, Paulo Fonseca himself expressed himself bluntly in the press conference: "We talked about how crucial it is to win this match. We have to focus on the fact that we will play here against a team with totally different characteristics and on taking the field with the right attitude to bring home the three points. We cannot afford to underestimate the opponent".
