NBA: Durant returns and Phoenix scrambles LA Lakers
KD had not played in as many as seven games in a row
Phoenix regains Durant (absent seven games) and Beal (out five). Result? Clean win over the LA Lakers (127-100). Curiously, when è KD is on the court, the Suns are almost unbeatable (9-1 record). Chewing bitterly are the LA Lakers, on their third consecutive stop (Davis’ 25 points and 15 rebounds were not enough).
Important success of Milwaukee: 106-103 against Miami (37 points and 12 assists by a wild Lillard). Nice success of Chicago, which rules Washington with a dry 127-108 (win by the widest margin in the season for the Bulls). For the Wizards it is the 12° defeat in a row.
After an overtime, Houston knocked off Minnesota (117-111 the final). Of note was Sengun’s triple double for the Rockets: 22 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists). It was also all easy for San Antonio, which ruled Utah (128-115, 34 points for a sumptuous Wembanyama).
Being competitions valid for the NBA Cup, complicit in the loss to Phoenix, the LA Lakers collect their first stop and slip to second place in Group C. At the top, however, in Group B (also in the West) rise the surprising Rockets who, numbers in hand, are already mathematically qualified for the quarterfinals.
